      Hurricane Jimena 2009:

Hurricane Jimena started out as a Category 4 out in the Pacific and had the whole Baja Peninsula bracing for the worst. As it turned out, it dropped to a Category 2 as it neared the Peninsula and passed overhead in San Somewhere as a Category 1. For those who lived through it, it doesn't matter what category it was!

This article from the Associated Press appeared in the local South Bay Daily Breeze newspaper on Thursday, September 3, 2009. It was the first time that Juan y Juan had ever seen, "San  Somewhere" (they did not spell it correctly) mentioned in a local paper.

Kinda looks like a Scorpion (ouch!) on August 31, 2009
