The
town is getting back to normal. The Pesca Palapa
will have to be rebuilt
Construction
is back on track...
....fences
are being repaired...
...and
supplies are being brought in.

Antonio
was finally able to get block ice...
...and
bring in fresh milk!!! You forget how the little
things in life can mean so much!
Richard
was even able to buy fresh Bananas...He was
thinking if he didn't get some fresh fruit soon,
he'd die of scurvy!

Maria
has set up a donation table out in front of her
store. Just drop off what you can.

I
went out to Bullfrog Greg's place. He's still
selling Real Estate and now...
Only
$45 for the day. He is always selling something,
but I don't think he is selling Bullfrog Products at
this time

I
took a ride to Cadeje and the strip is open and
ready to receive supplies if anyone is flying
down. It is in really great shape thanks to Mike
Nizic and Marcos

The
river is still flowing. The people down below are
washing their clothes
Photos
don't even tell the story as to how far the river
flowed last week
It
reached the school buildings in the foreground

The
Military has taken over the other school in Cadeje and
using it as a Barrack. Today was, "wash
sheets" day.

I
had to put this in: Terry Hanson shot this last
Friday at Los Burros where the Gregorio turnoff
is. This was another reason I didn't want to come
in on Sunday. I had heard that this area was an
issue, although a few brave souls went North of
here and were able to crawl over and out then down
to Purisima

It
took Marcos almost two days and getting stuck with
a huge loader to punch through this.

Overall,
we can all count our blessings that no one
"new", became a member of the
"Graveyard Club" during Hurricane Jimena.
It
is just so surreal that it seems so normal here in
town when all around the surrounding areas, there
are still folks who need help.
Boozie
went to Constitucion today to buy supplies with
the money everyone has sent to her via her Paypal
account. She plans to come back later this
afternoon and do the same thing she did earlier in
the week packaging supplies for delivery to the
Ranchos for tomorrow. She has another set of
volunteers who will be able to take vehicles this
time out with lots of supplies and will have
the Quads go into the Ranchos to bring the
supplies in as the back roads are still
impassable.
Thank
you all for your support and donations…have a
great weekend!
